Mr Norman Tang

Mr. Norman Tang is a Senior Executive with over 20 years of service industry experience in driving business growth, payment solutions, and business process optimization. He has contributed his knowledge and expertise across companies ranging from startups to established corporations, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, developing capable business leaders, and streamlining operations across the value chain.

From delivering business turnarounds to spearheading expansion, he has built a track record of sustainable growth, revenue and profit acceleration, and operational excellence.

Currently, Mr. Norman Tang serves as the General Manager of Globalone Assist Travel Sdn Bhd, a role he has held since 2024. He oversees both business and operations with a focus on building a thriving tourism and hospitality enterprise. His priorities include driving sales revenue growth, extending the company’s global footprint, reducing operational costs, enhancing efficiency through technology, boosting profitability, and optimizing resource management.

One of his key achievements was during his tenure as an executive at a major bank (1995–2004), where he was responsible for the merchant marketing and acquisition program. Through his dedication and hard work, the bank’s merchant business expanded significantly, becoming one of its key revenue streams and achieving the largest market share in merchant acquisition and sales revenue.

His knowledge and experience in the card payment industry also elevated his standing in the market and enabled him to support smaller industry players in strengthening their presence within the sector.

Mr. Norman Tang holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Finance major) from University Putra Malaysia, which he obtained in 2004.
